Internet Fraud
BUYERS should especially be careful when buying equipment from another country
There are many fraudsters waiting to cheat you.My advice is If the price is too good to be true, it is most like not true. And is a scam.
Check if all the details match, the business name, the address, the email address, the names of the people, even the email provider. We have our own domain name, most legitimate exporters do? Look to see the pictures of machines are taken mostly at the same location If people ask for deposits and will ship without whole payment, it will be a fraud
Better pay by letter of credit.Check with a manufacturer or country dealer in the machine you are buying, they will likely know if something is wrong? Google the names of the people involved facebook, Linkedin, twitter etc there should be some trace as these people will have personal lives, families and so on. When in doubt keep asking questions and searching on the internet.
Be careful, Fraudsters can be based in countries like Singapore, UK and Australia too.
They are not only from Nigeria.
No country is immune from them.
We are happy to give you advice to help you avoid a costly mistake. Please keep buying, but do so safely.
